Jog or walk along the woodland pathways or enjoy a picnic with friends on the open grassy areas of the beautiful Singleton Park. View a collection of more than 200 exotic plants and trees in the botanical garden or enjoy a gentle cruise around the lake on a peddle-boat.
Whatever the time of year, Singleton Park is a great place to enjoy a moment's peace away from the bustle of the nearby city. Set off on a blustery walk beneath the fiery autumnal trees or enjoy the many indigenous plants that grow in the ornamental garden during the winter. Spring sees carpets of bluebells and bright rhododendrons light up the woodland areas, while in summer the spacious lawns become the perfect spot for a picnic or game of frisbee.
Be sure to explore the botanical garden where you will find tall palms, vibrant flowers and a fragrant herb garden. Wander the winding trail or rest on one of the wooden benches and enjoy the view across the colourful beds of flowers. There is also a heated greenhouse area where exotic plants grow all year round.
For something a little different make your way to the small lake at the bottom of the park. Go for a ride on one of the swan shaped peddle-boats or play a round on the 18-hole crazy-golf course. There is a price of £5.00 to take out a two-seat boat while golf is £2.80 for adults and £2.10 for children.
Singleton Park is located in Sketty, a couple of miles west of the city centre. Take a bus to neighbouring Swansea University or stroll along the waterfront.
